How does Double Glazing Work?

The construction of double-glazed windows involves the following components:

Two Glass Panes: The outer and inner glass panes.

Spacer Bar: A spacer bar separates the two panes and maintains the gap. It is typically filled with desiccant to absorb any moisture and prevent condensation between the panes.

Sealed Unit: The edges of the two panes are sealed together to create a hermetically sealed unit. This seal ensures that no air or gas can escape from the gap between the panes.

Gas Fill (Optional): The gap between the panes can be filled with an inert gas such as argon, krypton, or xenon. These gases have better insulating properties than air."
